Our traditional forging methods include heat tempering and clay tempering. Each Handmade Sword blade is made with full tang construction, engraved with the signature of the swordsmith, and can be fully disassembled and reassembled. Most of our functional blades are crafted from high carbon content steel, with options for stainless steel or aluminum alloy for Aikido training swords. The tuba and other fittings are predominantly made of brass, copper, iron, or alloy, depending on each specific piece.

Handles and scabbards are made of wood or other specified materials, with most handles covered in ray skin and Japanese cotton Ito. Each package includes an assembled Wakizashi sword with saya, a black cotton Wakizashi bag, and a tube cardboard Wakizashi box. Please note that the sword stand is not included. The 1045 fully hand-forged quality Japanese samurai Wakizashi sword features a full tang, sharp edge, and functional design, with an approximately 21" blade, 9.5" handle, and an overall length of 32.5". The wooden handle is wrapped with ray skin and black cotton cord with Menuki, while the scabbard is black piano lacquered wood tied with black Japanese cotton Sageo.
