Japanese Style Samurai Wakizashi Sword, Hand Forged 1045 Carbon Steel, Battle Ready

Fully handmade, this Japanese Samurai Wakizashi sword features a blade made of carbon steel that has been heat tempered. The sharp edge is complemented by a long Hi (blood groove) on each side, and an obvious hamon that has been hand polished. The Tsuka (handle) is constructed of wood covered in genuine same (rayskin) and then wrapped in the traditional diamond pattern with brown cotton Ito, adorned with Dragon Menuki. The Saya (scabbard) is made of black piano lacquered wood with a brown cotton Sageo.

The sword has a full tang with two Mekugi (peg) and is engraved with the blacksmith's signature. The fittings are made of brass, and the sword is in brand new condition and can be fully disassembled and assembled. The blade length, including the Habaki, is 21.3", and without the Habaki, it is 20.3". The handle length is 9.7", and the overall length with the Saya is 33.1". The weight with the Saya is 2.1 lb, and without the Saya, it is 1.6 lb.

This fully handmade 1045 quality Japanese Samurai Wakizashi sword is full tang, sharp-edged, and functional. It measures approximately 21.5" in blade length, 9.25" in handle length, and 32.5" overall. The wooden handle is wrapped with ray skin and brown cotton cord with a Dragon menuki. The Saya is made of black piano lacquered wood with a dark brown cotton Sageo.
