This Japanese Samurai Katana Sword is made with high-quality 1045 carbon steel. The blade is fully hand-forged and heat-tempered, with a distinct real Hamon (tempered line) that has been hand-polished. The blade also features a Hi (blood groove) on each side and is sharp, hand-sharpened by a Japanese whetstone.
The Tsuka (handle) is made of genuine ray skin and wrapped with black Japanese cotton Ito (braid) with Menuki (ornament). The tang is full tang with 2 Mekugi (peg) and engraved with the blacksmith's signature. The Saya (scabbard) is made of black wood with a Mountain & Water pattern and black cotton Sageo (cord).
The edge hardness of the blade is HRC 55, and the back hardness is HRC 45. The blade length (with Habaki) is 28.0", the handle length is 10.6", and the overall length (with Saya) is 41.3". The weight (with Saya) is 2.9 lbs, and the weight (without Saya) is 1.1 lbs.
