Japanese Samurai Katana Sword, Hand Forged 1045 Carbon Steel Blade with Tomoe Crest Tsuba

Introducing the Sharpened Samurai Katana Sword, product number 949. This exquisite sword features a Tsuba adorned with a Tomoe Crest wrapped with vines, and a Fuchigashira (hilt collar and pommel) designed with a wave pattern. The blade is made of 1045 carbon steel, fully hand forged and heat tempered with a long hi (blood groove). The edge is sharpened using a Japanese Whetstone, and the sword boasts a distinctive Hamon (Tempered line).

The Tsuka (handle) is crafted from long wood, covered in genuine white ray skin and wrapped in white cotton ito with menuki. The blade features a full tang with 2 wood pegs (mekugi) and is engraved with the signature of the swordsmith. The Saya (scabbard) is made of white piano lacquered wood, wrapped in black cotton sageo (cord). This sword can be fully disassembled and reassembled.

The blade length (with Habaki) measures 28.5", with the handle length at 10.75". The overall length (including Saya) is 40.75", and it weighs 2.6 lb with the Saya and 2.1 lb without. The package includes 1 assembled Katana with saya, 1 black cotton Katana bag, and 1 tube cardboard Katana box.
