Handmade Sharp Katana Samurai Sword with Dragon Head Handle

This sword features a hand-forged 1045 high carbon steel blade and an authentically detailed faux ivory handle. It is accompanied by a high gloss black scabbard (saya) and detailed brass color fittings. To prevent corrosion, a layer of mineral oil has been applied before packaging. Please note that the blade cover may appear to have oil residue, giving the sword a dirty or used appearance, but this is necessary to protect the carbon steel blade from rusting. Minor scratches on the blade may also be present as a result of the hammering process, but these are not indications of prior use. If you are not satisfied with the condition of the katana upon receipt, please contact us for a replacement.

This highlander sword is hand forged from 1045 high carbon steel, with universal hardness throughout the blade. It features a well-defined Kissake and an aesthetic hamon along the length of the blade. The top of the blade includes a Bo-Hi (blood groove) to reduce weight and provide audible feedback when swung.

The blade is battle ready, full tang, razor sharp, and fully functional. The scabbard has a high gloss black piano finish, with detailed golden dragon tsuba and fittings. The sword has an overall length of 40 inches and a blade length of 28 inches. The detailed dragon head with an open mouth serves as the handle.
