This process increases the blade's flexibility and hardness, leaving a distinct texture on the blade. Bo-hi (blood groove) is added to each side of the blade to lighten and balance it, optimizing performance. (Customization without Bo-Hi is available upon request.) Two seppas spacers secure the Tsuba, while the Habaki (blade collar) is brass. The saya (sheath) is hard wooden and lacquered with superior paint for a high-gloss surface. The Sage-O is tied around the Kurikata (knob) of the saya, and the Koiguchi (scabbard mouth) and Kojiri (scabbard tip) have been hardened. Please note: 1. The sword comes with a saya and free silk bag. 2. Box and stand are not included. The sword is pure hand forged using traditional methods and features a fully hand-forged folded steel sharp blade with a full-length tang. This is a sharpened and truly battle-ready Samurai sword.
