Handmade Clay Tempered Carbon Steel Japanese Katana Sword

This 1095 high-carbon steel handcrafted katana is a 100% real weapon suitable for martial arts. The blade, made of 1095 high carbon steel, is oil-quenched, resulting in excellent toughness that can be bent up to 70 degrees and a hardness reaching 56-58HRC. The blade also features a groove (Bo-hi) and has undergone numerous Longquan manufacturing processes in China, including making, hot forging, shoveling, deadening, grinding, heat treatment, tempering, repairing, and truing. This makes the sword battle-ready, capable of easily cutting through bamboo and paper.

The tsuba, kasira-pommel/fuchi, Seppa, and Habaki are all crafted from pure copper, beautifully carved and resistant to fading and discoloration. The handle is constructed from wood, covered with white artificial fishskin on the inside, and wrapped with black and red cotton rope on the outside. The sheath, also made of wood, has been repeatedly polished and lacquered with intricate patterns, while the Sageo is fashioned from black cotton rope.

This finely-crafted samurai sword is made using traditional techniques, with each process being completed by hand. Two bamboo nails are used to securely connect the hilt, providing stability and allowing for easy dismantling. The weight ratio is also reasonable, ensuring ease of use.
