Functional Handmade Samurai Tanto Sword with 1045 Carbon Steel and Musashi Tsuba

Blade: The blade is made of carbon steel, heat tempered, and has a sharp edge. It has been hand sharpened by a Japanese whetstone. The hamon (tempered line) is obvious and has been hand polished on. There is a hi (blood groove) on each side of the blade. The tusk (handle) is made of genuine ray skin and black Japanese cotton, with a dragon menace ornament. The saya (scabbard) is made of black piano lacquered wood with a black cotton sage. The tang is signed full tang with one mekugi (peg).

Condition: The sword is brand new and can be fully disassembled and assembled. The blade length (with the habaki) is 10.4 inches, and the blade length (without the habaki) is 9.1 inches. The handle length is 5.8 inches, and the overall length (with the saya) is 17.6 inches. The weight (with the saya) is 1.2 lbs, and the weight (without the saya) is 0.99 lbs.
