The blade is made of L6 steel and undergoes an ancient clay tempered process, with all manual multi-process grinding. The Unkubi-Zukurai structure reduces excess weight, providing an extreme puncture ability and optimal weight balance. The high hardness and sharpness of the blade enable it to easily cut bamboo, paper, and more.

The tsuka (handle) is made of hardwood, and covered in real ray skin, with manually padded diamond paper to enhance the feel and grip. The saya is made of hardwood, with inlaid cow horns for reinforcement.
